Though “Innovative Travel Solutions Since 1910” is their motto, it is also their heritage. Skyway celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2000. Originally founded by an Eastern European immigrant, Skyway Luggage Company remains in the ownership of his family to this day and, as such, is the oldest luggage firm in the United States to be privately held by the same family since its founding. Today's Skyway Luggage Company is quite different from its modest beginnings as a small luggage manufacturer in the U.S. Pacific Northwest at the turn of the 20th century.

Innovation as a driving concept for their company has many components. Development, value, and the ability to recognize and respond to the changing global marketplace are the benchmarks of innovation. They are also the foundation upon which Skyway's growth as an industry leader is based.
