Overweight Baggage Fees


Economy Class Checked baggage Fee for any bag weighing 50lbs - 70lbs (23kg - 32kg): $50

Bags weighing over 70lbs (32kg) will not be accepted.

(Note: If the bag is both oversized and overweight: both charges will apply)



Oversized Baggage Fees


Fee for any bag between 63-115 Linear inches : $100

Bags exceeding 115 linear inches will not be accepted.

(Note: If the bag is both oversized and overweight: both charges will apply)



Excess Baggage Fees


Checked baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance will be charged as follows:

$100 per piece

Additional, overweight and oversize charges are accumulative per piece.



Sports Equipment


Some checked items, such as surfboards and bicycles will be charged a fixed handling fee because of size, fragility, or other handling requirements while others may be checked in lieu of one of your checked bags. If you plan to travel with sporting equipment, contact Continental Airlines directly to confirm packing regulations and fees.
